Today, 8 years ago, I held my mans hand and said "I do." I was 18 & he was 24. We had already dated for 2 years, were engaged for 3 months, only lived 20 minutes away from each other & went to the same church. So to say that we knew each other pretty well is a bit of an understatement & we were quite anxious to be able to finally become one. And even though I didn't really enjoy our wedding day, it was still one of the best days of my life simply because I became his wife.  (He told me tonight that the next time we get married we can elope.) I'm gonna hold him to that. :)

I don't know about yall, but I always enjoy reading other peoples stories. You know the ones... "we were married 5 years & moved 16 times, changed jobs 5 times, had 4 babies & came through stronger then ever." Well, we don't really have a story like that. Yes, we've had a few children... but 3 in 8 years doesn't make for a very dramatic story. Neither one of us like change so we usually like to keep things as normal as possible. :)

And to some of you, 8 years might not seem like very long, but to me... hey, that's nearly a third of my life. That's kind of a big deal. :) So here are a few pictures we had taken on Sunday to remember our eighth wedding anniversary.

This picture probably sums our marriage up the best. We may be a little weird  but that's okay... we like to humor each other. :)

Our beautiful girls... I can't believe how big they are getting!!

And our handsome little man. :)

I'm so thankful for where we are at today... for each of our children, a loving husband & a faithful God.

  1. Beautiful little people you have! :) Doesn't time seem to just be flying by? I used to laugh at people that said that but now I wonder where in the world all the time went since we got married. :) We definitely are blessed!
